Pinebrook’s peaceful wooded setting, in the Pocono Mountains of Pennsylvania, is located near Stroudsburg & East Stroudsburg. Pinebrook provides Christian and Corporate Groups with lodging, meeting space and meals for their next event or retreat.
This life-giving ministry began in 1933 as well-known evangelist Percy Crawford started Pinebrook Bible Conference for young people in the Pocono Mountains. Since its conception, Pinebrook has been steeped in the love of God, the love of others, and the making of disciples to go out to share the “Good News” of Jesus Christ. Percy brought to Pinebrook the nation’s leading Bible teachers and musicians. These included William Bell Riley, Oliver Buswell, Walter MacDonald, Will Houghton, Bob Ketcham, George Beverly Shea, Billy Graham and Cliff Barrows, Harold Laird, Merril MacPherson, Jack Wyrtzen, and many others. Percy directed the campus for 28 years.
The Bible Fellowship Church
In 1968, the Bible Fellowship Church took over stewardship of Pinebrook and it continued as a retreat and conference center with a “mission to the world.” Ongoing programs offered special ministry to the Bible Fellowship Church – Summer Bible Conferences, SnoGlo youth retreats, leadership training events for pastors, elders and deacons, as well as the annual conference of Bible Fellowship Church.
Celebrating a combined 85+ years of history steeped in Christian ministry, Spruce Lake has become the steward of Pinebrook as of October 17, 2018. Spruce Lake is committed to the ongoing mission of “Pointing People Toward Christ” in the years ahead on Pinebrook grounds. (www.sprucelake.org)
Pinebrook is dedicated to Christian service in the Anabaptist tradition. The foundational belief of Pinebrook is that the life and teachings of Jesus are central to our lives. We believe that Jesus is the complete revelation of who God is, and he becomes the Holy Light that guides our thoughts and actions. We believe that Jesus is the Creator, Savior, Lord, and Sustainer of our lives, declared to be the Son of God by his resurrection from the dead.
