92 riders in Trinity Tour
Spruce Lake’s Trinity Tour motorcycle ride Saturday, October 10th, brought together 92 riders under beautiful sunny skies to raise money for Outdoor Education at Spruce Lake.
Riders from the Christian Motorcyclists Association, Motorcyclists for Jesus and other informal cycling groups took part in this year’s exciting event!
Spruce Lake teamed up with the historic Pocono Raceway to offer riders four laps around the famous “Tricky Triangle,” Pocono Raceway’s triangular track. Triangular tracks are not uncommon in the racing world, but at Pocono Raceway, none of the three turns are identical and all three straights are different lengths. Six participants also flew several laps around the track in a real 600 horsepower stock car at race speeds. Many also chose the optional post-ride dinner at the nearby Blakeslee Inn, a satisfying way to close out a delightful day.
The tour registration of $30 per driver and $20 per passenger was entirely tax-deductible, with every cent applied to the benefit.
Next year’s Trinity Tour is scheduled for Saturday, October 8, 2016.
